Today I am going to introduce Aveda to you, a selective beauty brand that is a great example for a Lovemark:
Aveda’s products are based on the traditional Indian Ayurveda medicine, that treats not only the outside of your body but also appeals to all of your senses and your soul.
Natural ingredients of an outstanding quality provide a unique hair care/style, skin, cosmetic and lifestyle products. And the promise of treating the environment sustainably by using 100% windpower and recycled packaging make it also a green brand.
The exotic components and scents create mystery and an exciting product experience just like a Lovemark would do.
With Aveda you can not only care for yourself but also for the world we live in!
Hey guys! Meanwhile I finished my Master’s Thesis and I am back in Germany!
Over the summer I realised that I took some really nice pictures of my daily and party outfits and I decided to start a new blog for all the people that want to get inspired for their own styles and outfits.
Some people just LOVE brands…Or are they simply crazy?
When affection towards a brand goes so far that people even tattoo it on their skin, forever, is this a case of a real Lovemark or are these people just insane?
In some cases brand endorsers get paid by the brand that will decorate their bodies for a lifetime, but some people do it self-initiatively without receiving any compensation.
Can you imagine why?
The picture above is more symbolic than a statement of love, it is a metaphor for the world full of influences a baby gets born into. A baby is born pure and innocent but its parents bring it in touch with brands and labels and influence its preferences from the very beginning on.
Do you have a tattoo? If yes, I am sure there is a meaning behind it…every tattoo has a story…mostly a love story, because people want to be reminded on a person, an event, a motto or a credo- it should literately become part of them.
And this is how they feel about the brand, too, or are they just fools that try to get attention somehow?
Do this girls really think it is pretty to have brand logos on their shoulders?
Do you really believe that someone that can actually afford Chanel or Louis Vuitton would tattoo the label on his skin?
Does this guy think he will be a better athlete wearing a huge Nike swoosh on his back?
I am not so sure about it, and for me this goes definitely too far!
This is how Nike makes is customers feel! The honestly love the brand! Nike convinces with its outstanding quality and its communication about the game that you are about to do!
Nike stands for Basketball, Soccer, Running, Athletics, Golf…Nike is capturing more and more sports market share and they can do it because it is a real Lovemark. Supported by famous sportsmen Nike is even more irresistible.
But what makes Nike different from its strongest competitor Adidas?
For me its the feeling Nike gives you: Nike manages it to merge sports and fashion, that is very important mostly for its female customer. But Nike goes further: With the customisation option NikeID, the Nike+ iPod feature and the dedication of the company to design products that are useful from the point of view of the customer, it creates an unbeatable competitive advantage towards Adidas.
What do you think, Nike or Adidas? Share your experience with me and VOTE here!
The French vintage Champagne brand Dom Pérignon is first of all a status symbol, that what makes it to an aspirational luxury product that is exclusively for the upper class and out of reach for many. A good example for the myth beyond this Lovemark can be found on the Dom Pérignon official website:
“Dom Pérignon is vintage only. Each Vintage wine is created from the best grapes grown in one single year.
To reinvent itself by interpreting the unique character of the seasons. To dare to not declare the Vintage when the harvest does not meet its ideal.
Such is the commitment of Dom Pérignon.”
In 2005, a limited edition bottle of Dom Pérignon was one of the most expensive champagnes in the world with a price of $40,000. Sold in three-liter bottles, the Dom Perignon White Gold Jeroboam was sold to commemorate the New Year. Much of its price, however, is surely due to the white gold bottle from which the expensive wine takes its name.
Are spirits and wines Lovemarks to you? And if yes which ones and why? I am looking forward to hear your opinion!*
